New Orleans Saints getting Dez Bryant is flat out unfair

New Orleans Saints getting Dez Bryant is flat out unfair

Instead, the former Cowboys wideout will get to focus on what he's done best as he physically wore down over his last two seasons in Dallas - provide a big, competitive target for Brees in the red zone as the Saints seek to lock down a first-round bye in the playoffs and a clear path to the Super Bowl.

The Dez Bryant saga has finally reached its next chapter as the receiver-needy Saints have signed the former Dallas Cowboy to a one-year deal.

"We talked about it during the offseason a little bit", Brees said. "I don't know all the dynamics", Watson said.

Not long after his release from Dallas, Bryant turned down a three-year contract offer from the Baltimore Ravens, according to several media outlets.

The Saints, sitting at 7-1 atop the NFC South, will take on the Cincinnati Bengals on the road in Week 10.

Bryant's return to the National Football League with the Saints means he could play against his former club in a few weeks.

The Saints have racked up the seventh-most passing yards per game this season with 289.9 and second-most most points at 34.9.

On the day he was released, Bryant blamed the move on the fact that multiple players on the Cowboys roster didn't want him on the team anymore. Like Colston, Bryant now struggles to separate from man coverage, but that issue is somewhat mitigated by his excellent ball skills, ability to outmuscle smaller corners (he'll see a ton of those in the slot!) and having Drew Brees, the league's most accurate quarterback, putting the ball in spots that make it easier to make those contested catches. Really happy for him and that opportunity. "He's definitely a special player and I'm glad he got picked up and I'm glad something worked out for him".

"Each week we'll have different players in different spots, tight ends, running backs, but you're asking a question, I think, based on the other reports, so I'll get to the next question", Saints head coach Sean Payton told beat reporters Wednesday morning, shortly before word leaked of Bryant's imminent signing.

New Orleans also has two games remaining against division rival Carolina (6-2). "He's a good player".
