Sergio Aguero nets hat-trick as Manchester City thrash Huddersfield Town

Sergio Aguero celebrates after scoring his hat-trick and Manchester City's fifth.

Sergio Aguero hit the 13th hat trick of his City career and could have doubled that as Guardiola's men threatened to equal the club's record 10-1 victory over Huddersfield the last time they beat them in the league at home, in 1987.

The sight - three months later - of a healthy looking baby boy in a City kit was too much for some people on social media.

"That goalless draw was the only time Pep Guardiola's side failed to score at the Etihad in the league last term, but I expect them to run out convincing winners on Sunday".

If that gave Guardiola something to ponder at the interval, it required just three minutes of the second half for Silva to restore City's three-goal cushion.

Even though Aguero bagged a well-deserved hat-trick, it was David Silva who stole the spotlight with a magnificent performance against the Premier League minnows.

The deadlock was eventually broken on 25 minutes as Ederson's long-ball found Aguero, who sent a cheeky lob into the back of the net from the edge of the box.

De Bruyne had just returned to training August 6 after helping Belgium to the semifinals of the World Cup in Russian Federation . He also has Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan, who were both brilliant in the 2-0 win over Arsenal on the weekend.

No matter - City restored a three-goal advantage just three minutes into the second half with a wonderful free-kick from 20 yards from David Silva that left Hamer flat-footed - the flawless way to mark his 250th Premier League appearance.

"Manchester City can confirm Kevin De Bruyne has suffered a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) lesion in his right knee", a club statement read.

With eight goals in two games, City looks ready to have another incredible season.

In last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth, Neil Etheridge became the first goalkeeper to save a penalty on his Premier League debut since Allan McGregor in 2013 by denying Callum Wilson from the spot - earning six points in the process.

The flawless tribute to his son and his partner, for whom he fly back to Spain on several occasions last season, and it doesn't matter which team you support, you can't not be happy for the diminutive maestro that is Silva.

"We made a decision to play with two strikers to put pressure higher up the pitch".

"I never saw him like this since I was here", said manager Pep Guardiola, praising Aguero after pairing him with Gabriel Jesus up front.
