The darling smartphone startup will reportedly launch its next smartphone, tentatively dubbed the "OnePlus 6T", with T-Mobile as its exclusive USA carrier partner in October, according to CNET.

Does a OnePlus 6T that's optimized for T-Mobile and sold by T-Mo interest you?

A new report out of CNET claims to shed light on OnePlus' next smartphone, the OnePlus 6T. Partnering with a carrier will likely help OnePlus boost its brand awareness in the USA where it is still not a household name.

Since the OnePlus 3, the Chinese company has been launching two flagship devices every year- a standard version and a "T" version with minor upgrades over the standard version.

In the US, OnePlus will sell the 6T through T-Mobile along with the unlocked variant it usually sells. OnePlus has been following a half-yearly cycle for a while now and those who have been holding out buying the OnePlus 6 in anticipation of the T model, may not have to wait that long.

Availability in T-Mobile stores will surely boost the popularity of OnePlus, as its phones come with lower price tags with the same - or better - performance than competing phones from Apple and Samsung.

This is a huge win for OnePlus in the U.S.as the majority smartphone sales happen through carriers.

However, for now, the OnePlus 6T T-Mobile version is undergoing testing and still needs to get certification from the carrier company.

If we take that taking point at face value, it's unclear how the company will be able to maintain its budget proposition. The OnePlus 6T is expected this fall. Now we know that those discussions were with T-Mobile and - so far, anyway - the discussions were successful. We might see some improvements in the camera setup, with both lenses at the back getting OIS. The OnePlus 6 was launched around three months ago in May. This means the phone will support the telecom operator's 600 megahertz band which is said to be faster.
