Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne suffers knee injury in training

Kevin De Bruyne has suffered a knee injury in training and looks set for a period on the sidelines, Manchester City have confirmed.

The central midfielder helped Pep Guardiola'a side lift the Premier League title and was arguably the standout player last season during a very special year.

De Bruyne left training today on crutches and the club will discuss sending the Belgian to Catalan doctor Ramon Cugat, who Guardiola has leaned on in the past.

De Bruyne damaged ligaments in the same knee in 2016, resulting in him missing 10 weeks.
