Amazon Prime Day: Site crash infuriates customers

In the first hour of the 36-hour sale, customers in the USA have ordered more items compared to the first hour of Prime Day previous year, according to Amazon.

The self-dubbed "Black Friday in July" known as Amazon Prime Day kicks off on July 16th with a host of incredible deals and steals. The Echo Show, which is normally $229.99, is down to $129.99 in this Prime Day pre-sale, and the Echo Look is half off, settling at $99.99. "The site is has been loading for 20mins #DoBetter".

Staff from six warehouse facilities in Germany - home to Amazon's second biggest market outside of the United States - are protesting for one day.

In addition to this, an instant discount of 10% is given to the using HDFC Debit and Credit cards and straightway 10% cashback for those using their Amazon Pay balance to make their Prime Day purchases.
