With Fortnite Playground Issues Continuing, Epic Replaces Another Limited-Time Mode

Introduced as part of the V4.5 update on June 27th, Playground Mode was an instant hit with the players that got to try it out but it was disabled after just a few hours of being live due to the need to "investigate some issues with out matchmaking services". With the latest update came two limited time modes, the Playground and Final Fight Teams of 12.

We will of course update you all if the mode returns, but for now you're just going to have to learn Fortnite the same way as the rest of us, by dying a lot and enduring some matchmaking times.

Update 2: Fortnite's Playground LTM will remain offline, with Epic Games unable to fix whatever problems it's having with the 4-player creative mode.

The Playground mode update adds: "Once we have confirmed that our testing was successful we will begin gradually rolling servers out to all regions and platforms until it's available to all players".

EastEnders' Dirty Den star Leslie Grantham dies, aged 71
He was reported to have completed filming on an upcoming low-budget film The Krays: Dead Man Walking , just before falling ill. Grantham's management company, Advocate Agency, said he died Friday but did not disclose the cause.

PM told to come clean on funding source for NHS boost
The Health Secretary told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that they 'are clear that there will be an increased burden of taxation'. And the chief executives of three major health trusts have issued similar letters to Chancellor Philip Hammond and the PM.

The tweet linked to an article on the Fortnite Battle Royale Reddit page.

Three days later, Fortnite's Playground LTM is still AWOL. "We know you want to get back out to the Playground LTM", wrote Fortnite developers on Reddit. "We're still testing these changes but are aiming to return this mode later today". "We'll have more information available tomorrow".

It's likely that when the developer finally gets Playground up and running, we'll see the mode extended beyond it's originally scheduled downtime thanks to the delays it's seen.

"Playground LTM launch was VERY popular and the poor matchmaker was trying to create and allocate matches faster than it could keep up with, so a backlog built up". That's an update on the status of the mode, not an actual update to the game. In order to preserve the base play experience, we took Playgrounds offline while we made improvements to the matchmaking system.
