China hails its 'indisputable' role in outcome of Trump-Kim summit

Ahn Chan Il, a former North Korean military officer who heads the World Institute for North Korea Studies in Seoul, said Mr Kim's slanting signature was similar to those of his father and grandfather, both former leaders of North Korea.

North Korea's state-run newspaper, the Rodong Sinmun, extensively reported Wednesday the summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump held Tuesday in Singapore.

Trudeau has offered support for Trump's discussions with Kim, but has steadfastly declined to weigh in on the president's fulsome praise of the North Korean leader and the intensifying verbal barbs thrown in his direction. But some of the press would say, 'he's meeting with them, therefore he had a major loss.' I said, 'since when?' " Trump said.

Sang Kim also noted the deepening contrast between Trump's treatment of Kim Jong Un and Trudeau. "Because it does not meet what I would call minimum requirements in terms of what we expect them to do and what they expect us to do". "It is inappropriate to have war games". China, as North Korea's neighbor and most important trading partner, also could provide relief to Kim by throttling down sanctions enforcement on its own. Number one, we save money. "I said, I have something to say from North Korea". At the end of a summit in April on the southern side of the Demilitarized Zone between the Koreas, Kim and South Korean President Moon Jae-in watched a highly produced video, backed by inspirational music, that highlighted the ceremonies they had just conducted during the day. "Triumphant moment for Kim and North Korea that will become fodder for art, posters, stamps", tweeted Jean H. Lee, director of the Korea Center at the Wilson Center.

Chinese officials have been quick to take credit for some of the outcomes of a historic summit between the United States and North Korea on Tuesday.

However, Kim has made some significant concessions as well.

"Without Otto this would not have happened", Trump told a post-summit news conference in Singapore.

"I was like 'Oh, what is this? I think he's going to start now", he said. "And the top priority is establishing new relations and a peace regime, so I think this means a fundamental change from seven decades of war and hostility between the two countries", she told Loud & Clear.

Highlighting the continued differences in the two countries' views of the denuclearization process, the report also said that they had agreed on a "step-by-step" approach.

The summit capped a swift and astonishing turn of events that began on New Year's Day with a pledge by Kim to reach out to the world now that his nuclear forces have been completed.
