White House Declines to Condemn McCain Remark

John McCain (R-Ariz.) reportedly made in a private White House meeting the day before, critics condemned the day-long news frenzy at the end of a week in which President Trump-among other offenses-furthered his attacks on immigrants, gave away the store to Big Pharma, gutted protections for student borrowers, and urged the Senate to confirm Gina Haspel, who oversaw the torture of human beings and then destroyed the video evidence of that torture, as the next director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Amid rising bipartisan fury, the White House declined to apologize, or to acknowledge that the comments attributed by USA media to White House communications aide Kelly Sadler were even made.

"Given this White House's trail of disrespect toward John and others, this staffer is not the exception to the rule; she is the epitome of it".

The White House has not denied the reports, and press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that Sadler was at work on Friday.

Sanders was requested repeatedly if President Trump bears accountability for setting the tone within the White Home.
