Fortnite Meteors Crashing Into Island, Superheroes May Be Coming

This flawless storm of events has led to Fortnite: Battle Royale becoming the largest free-to-play console game of all time in both revenue and monthly active users, per SuperData. We're ready to get off of this merry-go-round for the time being. Some feel that it will simply decimate the Tilted Towers area since that's where the meteor has been spotted, and others think it's heralding something out-of-this-world, like aliens.

This has further fuelled speculation that the comet will land alongside an alien spacecraft, a speculation only further fuelled by the presence of a protestor sign recently added to the game appearing to show a UFO inside a pink heart.

The Season 4 emergency broadcast teaser is pointing towards a superhero theme, and it's possible that the comet may be what turns people into superheroes, or it might be hiding the force that will become the bad guys of this season. Let us know your thoughts below.

A comet just hit my game!

The Fortnite comet has been the topic of much discussion since it was first spotted hurtling towards Tilter Towers last month. This supposed event will be both momentous for the game's lifecycle, but for every game out there. As Season 3 comes to a close, and Season 4 looms ever closer, we're wondering if EPIC will actually go through with destroying Tilted Towers, which is what everyone is expecting to happen.

Fortnite is a massive success no matter how you slice it, with the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions all doing well. It's safe to say that we should expect the new season within the next couple of weeks - bringing a host of new rewards to loyal fans of the battle royale king. What the consequences will be exactly is still to be determined, but in the meantime, read our theory behind the meteor and check out some more leaked skins. According to Forbes, Epic Games posted a #Tweet showing what is inside the meteor.
