Man Steals Oscar Award at after party

Associated Press shared a video which appears to show the man who authorities say stole McDormand's Oscar walking out of the official Academy Awards after-party.

Luckily, the culprit - and the statuette - were located by Los Angeles Police, who confirmed Terry Bryant was arrested for grand theft, after the gong went missing from the Governor's Ball.

McDormand's personally engraved statue was returned to her shortly after it was found.

Los Angeles police said a photographer who didn't recognize Bryant as an Oscar victor helped nab the suspected thief.

Bryant apparently had a ticket to the Governors Ball, police said.

The sweet moment was quickly passed around social media and came as the founders of the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements, and women in Hollywood in general, were recognised during the ceremony. Don't talk to us about it at the parties tonight.
