Eight Year Old Corona Girl Dies Of Flu

The health department said test results confirmed the 8-year-old - who was reported to have flu-like symptoms - died from the influenza virus.

Her's is the second pediatric, flu-related death of the season, the city said Monday.

Nationally the number of hospitalizations for the flu is the highest seen since health officials started recording this data in 2010, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
