USA Gymnastics Executives Resign Amid Sexual Abuse Scandal

The three USA Gymnastics board members are the first prominent USAG leaders to lose their jobs over the Nassar scandal since president Steve Penny resigned last March.

Disgraced former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar's sentencing entered its fifth day in a MI courtroom on Monday, when the number of sexual assault survivor impact statements eclipsed 100, and among the morning's powerful speakers was 15-year-old Emma Ann Miller.

More than 100 women and girls have given statements at Nassar's sentencing hearing in MI or have had statements read on their behalf.

Nassar was already sentenced to 60 years in prison for child pornography December 7. Under a plea deal, he faces a minimum of 25 to 40 years behind bars, although the actual sentence could be much higher.

According to ESPN.com, chairman Paul Parilla, vice chair Jay Binder and treasurer Bitsy Kelley all stepped down from USAG on Monday in the midst of Nassar's hearing.

"Larry, you do realize now that we, this group of women you so heartlessly abused over such a long period of time, are now a force, and you are nothing", Raisman said.

Nassar has pleaded guilty to multiple charges of sexual assault under the guise of medical treatment.

"The fact that any of this has ever happened shows that USA Gymnastics has failed as a governing body to protect the athletes that it supports and claims to care about", Johnson East said.

- Calling him a master of manipulation and a calculated child molester, more victims of Larry Nassar came forward Monday.

Many people, including a school trustee, have called for Michigan State president Lou Anna Simon to resign, but she has thus far resisted. "I can't hear you".
