Over in the lake-effect belt, however, a few inches are possible due to the westerly winds pushing any lake-enhanced clouds to the east.

The advisory is expected to expire at noon, right when wind chills in Cleveland will hit warmer than -6 degrees.

The Wind Chill Advisory will go into effect at 10 p.m. and last until 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Low temperatures New Year's Eve will get down below zero and high temperatures on New Year's Day will only be around 10, but the wind chills will make it feel like it's below zero at times. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from midnight tonight to noon EST Monday. The National Weather Service says these cold temperatures can cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes of exposed skin.

For New Year's Day, wind chills could be as low as -20 in the morning and only rising to 0 to -5 in the afternoon.
