KARMA: After India Votes Against Israel, Palestinian Authority Stands With India's Enemies

Affirming ties with India and Palestine's support to "India's fight against terror", Palestinian Ambassador to India Adnan Abu Al Haija informed the government on Saturday that the Palestinian Authority had chose to recall its Ambassador to Pakistan Walid Abu Ali, for sharing dais with Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed. "We are taking up the matter strongly with the Palestinian Ambassador in New Delhi and with the Palestinian authorities", the spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had said in a statement. "But still, we can not find this acceptable... and the Palestinian government has made a decision to take action", he said. We also condemn sharing of a stage with him by any Palestinian official, an act that contradicts our people's principled commitment to universal human rights and democracy and undermines the decades-long friendship between the Indian people and the people of Palestine. This is not acceptable that a Palestinian Ambassador shared the stage with a terrorist wanted by India.

The PA's decision appears to have come after India protested the ambassador's presence at the rally, terming it "unacceptable". "Relations with India are very important for us". The Difa-e-Pakistan Council is an umbrella organisation for hardline anti-India anti-US Islamic groups in Pakistan.

"The Palestinian side has conveyed deep regrets over the incident and assured the Government of India that they are taking serious cognizance of their Ambassador's presence at this event".

India and the Palestinian Authority are also discussing a possible visit to Ramallah by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February - seen by some here as a conciliatory gesture in connection with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to India in January.

The Palestinian foreign ministry in its statement said Palestine "highly appreciates" the move by India to vote in favour of a resolution asking the U.S. to withdraw its decision to recognise Jerusalem as the Israeli capital at the United Nations General Assembly. But, the platform was used by Hafiz Saeed among others to give another call for jihad in Jammu and Kashmir.

Giants suspend Eli Apple
But when Apple was asked how Collins' reassurance had affected him, Apple said the safety hadn't done what he said. He's dealt with a hip injury and had a reported blow-up at coaches during a critical film session.

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry defended the envoy, saying it welcomed his "active participation in events organized to express solidarity with the people of Palestine".

"We appreciate the prompt action by President Mahmoud Abbas, the Government of Palestine, to recall (Ali) for having attended a meeting convened by LeT Chief Hafeez Saeed, an internationally reviled and known hardcore terrorist", said IPSF. India's vote was seen to be against Israel, a close friend of India as well as U.S., its strategic partner.

Palestine moved towards peace with India.
