Egyptian FA expect Salah to be at Real Madrid next season

Outstanding Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is reportedly closing in on a summer switch to Real Madrid.

Salah arrived on Merseyside from Roma last summer for a fee of £34m (BBC).

The Wales worldwide has made 17 appearances for Real so far this season, scoring nine goals and assisting five further strikes.

The former Zamalek player was part of the Pharaohs squad that secured Egypt's qualification to the World Cup for the first time since 1990.

That's according to Egyptian FA president Hany Abo Rida.

Real Madrid are having one of their most deceiving seasons in a long time as they are now ranked fifth in La Liga and now aren't in a position to make the Uefa Champions league next year.

Allowing his contract to run down has has not been ideal for Liverpool, but the club still hope to convince him to sign a new deal, and want to keep their best players at the club.

"He has only been here for a year".

The player said: "I still have a contract here until the end of the season".
