Chelsea interested in signing Edin Dzeko from Roma

According to reports in Italy, it's not just Emerson on the wishlist, Edin Dzeko is a concrete objective for Chelsea.

Currently, Conte only has Marcos Alonso to work with on the left, and Palmieri would represent a smart acquisition.

When asked if a move to the Blues is a possibility, Garcia told Calcio Mercato: "Of course yes, absolutely, now the two clubs are talking, we will see if it will be successful".

"Conte is a top manager, one of the best and most successful in the world", he added.

The Premier League champions initially looked to revive their attempts to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus but once again they have been priced out of a move for the Brazil global, unwilling to meet his £60m valuation.

PLO Calls for UN-Sponsored Conference on Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

The Blues have already held talks with West Ham frontman Andy Carroll over a surprise move to Stamford Bridge but are said to favour a loan deal over the £20million permanent fee the Hammers want for the former England global.

Chelsea have offered €50m for both Emerson Palmieri and Dzeko, whereas Roma are asking for a series of bonuses that would take the total sum up to €65m.

Furthermore, Sky Sport reports that AS Roma could also ask to loan Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge which means that they could go head to head with Inter for the England global.

The 31-year-old has scored 12 goals for Roma this season, including a double against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League in their 3-3 draw in October.

Dzeko turns 32 in March, so it isn't entirely out of the question that Roma would sell for the right price, especially as they already invested in replacement Patrik Schick.
