Woman Accused of Destroying $300K Worth of Art at Tony Buzbee's House

A 29-year-old woman on a first date with a prominent Houston lawyer is accused of causing damage to two works of art by Andy Warhol valued at $500,000 each.

Prosecutors said in court Wednesday that Lindy Lou Layman, a 29-year-old Dallas court reporter, was on the date with attorney Anthony Buzbee on December 23 when she allegedly went on her destructive spree, according to KHOU.

Lindy Lou Layman "intentionally and knowingly" damaged multiple pieces of artwork belonging to Anthony Buzbee on December 23, according to Harris County court documents. Layman, a Dallas resident, was granted $30,000 bond after being charged with criminal mischief.

Buzbee told police he called Layman an Uber after she became intoxicated, the news station reported, after which she refused to leave and hid inside the home.

Layman destroyed three original paintings and two abstract sculptures, according to Texas authorities.
