Ivanka Trump Visits Connecticut School, Parents Pull Kids Out Of Classes

First Daughter Ivanka Trump's unannounced visit to a CT high school was not welcomed by parents of some students.

The visit was kept quiet due to security concerns, according to New Jersey's News 12, which reported that parents who opposed the president's views were upset that they did not know about the visit. "I figure we ought to have had the decision to send our youngster to class or keep them home".

IBM CEO Ginni Rometty joined Ivanka in the visit to the academy, a Norwalk High School program that gives students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma, as well as an associate degree in software engineering and mobile programming, in four years.

Trump visited Norwalk Early College Academy, part of Norwalk High School and a joint project between Norwalk Community College and IBM.

Some parents didn't take kindly to Trump's surprise visit, going so far as to pull their children out of the classroom in protest.

"My son Nicolas Guzman is a NECA student and you talked to him today and he's so excited about it".
