Trump tweets about the wrong mass shooting, gets trolled

If this is not a sign of how much work needs to be done in this country, especially around mass shootings, I don't know what is.

Following the tragedy, Mr Trump turned to Twitter to offer his condolences, but mistakenly mentioned the mass shooting's location as "Sutherland Springs, Texas", which was the scene of a November 5 mass shooting where 26 people were killed in a church. "The FBI and Law Enforcement has arrived", he tweeted late Tuesday, shortly after returning from a 12-day trip to Asia.

The tweet appeared to be an old draft.

As of Wednesday morning at around 7:50 a.m. EDT, Tuesday's tweet still remains online, but people online are already drawing their own conclusions and needless to say the back lash was swift and biting, with many expressing their outrage.

Donald Trump has been accused of copying and pasting condolence messages on Twitter after posting about the wrong gun massacre.

After the attack in Texas, Trump tweeted a almost identical message to the one shared Tuesday, writing, "May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas".

The gunman behind the rampage shot 14 people, killing four, in seven different locations, including an elementary school, before he died in a shootout with police.

Trump has not yet commented publicly about a separate mass shooting that took place Tuesday in northern California.

"May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas". It was deleted roughly 10 hours later.
