What Markelle Fultz's indefinite absence means for the Sixers

The Sixers initially announced Wednesday he would miss three games and be reevaluated this coming Tuesday.

Dr. Kibler confirmed that there is no structural impairment to Fultz's shoulder. Philadelphia 76ers guard and first-overall draft pick Markelle Fultz has been having shoulder problems.

Fultz's shoulder has been the center of attention for a couple weeks since he unveiled an altered shooting form during training camp and in the preseason.

Fultz has missed the Sixers last two games, and he didn't looked comfortable in his first four National Basketball Association games before that.

Add to that, the visible issue with Fultz's shot.

Liverpool record Champions League firsts with seven-goal mauling of Maribor
Klopp intends to keep changes to a minimum but could give Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain his first Champions League start for the club. The fitness issues also seem to have taken the sharpness out of his game, with Sturridge often struggling in front of goal.

There has been confusion as to whether Fultz's shooting tweak caused the injury or began because of the injury.

His shot didn't look the same as it did during the summer or at the University of Washington last season.

Markelle Fultz will take more time before he returns to the court.

The report also stated that Fultz had to have a cortisone shot in his shoulder back on October 5, suggesting the problem has been there for a while. Ben Simmons missed all of last season with a broken foot. That includes losing four of their first five games, but the 76ers did beat the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday (Oct. 28) to get another notch in the win column.

Either way Fultz won't be playing anytime soon. Philadelphia felt Fultz, with his outside shooting ability, was the flawless player to pair with Simons in the backcourt.
