Trump threatens to scrap NAFTA in Sunday morning tweet

Donald Trump again alluded to the possible termination of NAFTA on his Twitter account.

This week President Trump told a crowd in Arizona he doesn't think the USA can make a deal on the North American Free Trade Agreement modernization.

Trump was at Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland.

After taking a heap of criticism Sunday morning for losing focus on his Hurricane Harvey PR mission, Trump got right back on task for a hot second, tweeting exclamation-pointed streams of consciousness about the storm.

Referring to a Democratic senator up for re-election in 2018, Claire McCaskill, he added: "I will also be going to a wonderful state, Missouri, that I won by a lot in '16. Republican will win S!"

In response, Mexico's foreign ministry issued a statement Sunday afternoon reiterating the country's position that it will not "in any way or under any circumstance" pay for Trump's signature border wall.

Earlier this year, Trump agreed to renegotiate the deal with Mexico and Canada, but has since stated that he thinks they will end up terminating.

He wrote, "With Mexico being one of the highest crime Nations in the world, we must have THE WALL".

"If we have to close down our government, we're building that wall", he said.

Donald Trump writes that NAFTA is the " worst trade agreement ever concluded", adding that Canada and Mexico are very intransigent: "both are very hard ", according to the terms it uses in English.
