Top Democrats call for Missouri senator to resign

She reiterated on Friday that her Facebook post "was totally improper", but said she will not resign.

This is not a decision that has been made lightly. "But, what I posted earlier, I truly believe will happen, sooner.not later".

A Missouri lawmaker penned a Facebook comment on Thursday in which she expressed hope for the president to be assassinated. I have deleted it, and it should have been deleted, but there is something way more important that we should be talking about.

Missouri Democratic state Sen. Parson said, "Many Republicans and Democrats have asked for her resignation. Things have got to change", Chappelle-Nadal told the Post-Dispatch. Her page is not visible to the public, and the post was first reported by a conservative St. Louis radio host. "Absolutely not", Chappelle-Nadal told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "That was inappropriate for me to do so".

Later in the thread, in response to another commenter, she wrote: "I hope Trump is assassinated!" They would need a two-thirds majority of the vote to succeed.

A report from CNN News indicates that the Secret Service is investigating posts by the Missouri lawmaker today. She said the agency looks at all threats "against the president, vice president, and other protectees, whether they be direct, implied, or comments in passing".

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D, Mo.) said that she should resign over her Facebook statement, saying it was "outrageous".

Both were in a three-way tie for No. 6 in the Seattle metropolitan area, and in a three-way tie for No. 8 in Washington state. According to The Boston Globe , this is the first time in 24 years that the hospital has fallen off the US News rankings.

UK Hikes Estimate of Pesticide Contaminated Eggs; No Public Health Risk Expected
Paris has said that more than 200 000 eggs contaminated with fipronil have been placed on the French market "since April". Heather Hancock, FSA chairwoman, said it was not "something to worry about" and that any health impact was unlikely.

Despite at least one call to resign by Republican state Rep. Kirk Mathews, Ms. Chappelle-Nadal said she's not going anywhere. Resign or be removed from office.

"We can have differences in our country, but no one should encourage political violence".

The senator dismissed calls from other politicians, including some within her own party, to resign.

Chappelle-Nadal tweeted on Thursday, however, that she would not.

Stephen Webber, the chairman for the Missouri Democratic Party, was similarly displeased with Senator Chappelle-Nadal's comments. Notably, as of this writing, no Democratic state officials have stood up to defend Chappelle-Nadal's comment or to deflect blame. In her proposal, she said Nixon "seems only to acknowledge the existence of the African-American community on or about election day". However, if she does not do so by veto session, I will, in my position as President of the Missouri Senate, immediately seek her expulsion pursuant to Article III, Section 18 of the Missouri Constitution. I'm not going to shy away from that at all.

She made the comment in an exchange with a left-wing activist who claimed that his cousin is a Secret Service agent.

"They are creating cover for the president instead of dealing with the real issues at hand", Chappelle-Nadal said. "We have a small state senate and the floor is open for everyone to be heard", he says. She is term-limited beyond 2018.
