Brock Lesnar Called Out By Jon Jones After UFC Main Event

Jon Jones's Round 3 KO win over Daniel Cormier is a redemption story for sure, but not a clichéd one.

Jon Jones wins via 3rd round TKO gets his belt back and is once again the Light-Heavyweight Champion of the world.

Speaking to the UFC 214 Post Fight show with Michael Bisping and Kenny Florian, Jones said it was simply time for a super fight.

Understandably, Cormier was emotional post-fight as he was left with the bitter taste of a second defeat to Jones who remains the only man to beat him in MMA.

Everyone loves a good comeback story, and Jones' has plenty to like.

When he got back on top Saturday night by stopping his greatest rival in dramatic style, Jones vowed to appreciate everything he had lost and regained. Cormier fought smartly but did not stop Jones from taking the honours 10-9.

Jones wasted no time in setting his sights on his next opponent after challenging former UFC heavyweight champion and current WWE performer Lesnar within seconds of seeing his hand raised.

As appealing as this Jones vs. fight Lesnar would be, there are a number of notable stumbling blocks that first need to be navigated.

John McCain to return to Senate for key health care vote

OJ Simpson to be freed from prison after winning parole
This all has nothing to do with the famous 1994 trial and acquittal Simpson had after he was charged with murdering his ex-wife. Numerous letters mentioned Simpson's 1995 acquittal in the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ron Goldman .

"Brock Lesnar - if you want to know what it feels like to get your a** kicked by a guy who weighs forty pounds less than you, meet me in the octagon" Jones yelled out in a mic drop moment following his big win.

"I made it back, man", Jones said afterward.

"Be careful what you wish for, young man", Lesnar said, according to the Associated Press. A loss to Jones, which at this point seems the more likely outcome, would risk killing that Lesnar aura that the company has invested so much time in.

It's clear that the new champ knows what he wants next, but for DC, it remains to be seen if he will continue fighting after conceding that Jones had ended their rivalry by winning both fights.

"I thought the fight was going well - I don't even know what happened", Cormier told UFC commentator Joe Rogan.

White was particularly upbeat considering how well the strategically stacked card appeared to be trending after a sell out at the Honda Center.

Neither was UFC President Dana White. They capped it with a round of boos when Woodley was announced as a unanimous decision victor with scores of 50-45, 49-46, and 49-46. Then they did the wave.
