President Donald Trump has nominated Jessica Rosenworcel as an FCC commissioner

President Barack Obama had nominated her for another term shortly before he left office, but her position was not confirmed.

"I publicly supported Commissioner Rosenworcel's confirmation last Congress, and I continue to appreciate her service", Thune said past year.

Rosenworcel, a Democrat, had served on the commission from 2012 until January of this year, although her term expired in mid-2015.

"Few people have ever walked through the doors of the Federal Communications Commission with as much knowledge, experience, and good judgment as Jessica Rosenworcel", said Michael Copps, special advisor to Common Cause.

But it's especially true right now for the Red Sox , who entering Monday are 28th in the major leagues with just 58 home runs. The team knows that he has earned a name for himself, and he can surely get his fastball towards the mid-90s.

He added later, "I think we're really leaning in to USA leadership" to illustrate "we're going to continue in this leadership role, but you, our allies, must do your share".

Trump has not announced who he intends to nominate for the GOP seat, though it's widely believed to be FCC gen counsel Brendan Carr, who before taking the post in January spent three years as FCC chmn Ajit Pai's wireless, public safety and worldwide legal adviser. "NAB strongly supports her renomination and confirmation". Trump has yet to nominate a Republican for the other current vacancy, which would retain the commission's GOP majority. "During her first term as commissioner, Jessica proved to be an outstanding public servant who championed policies that enable American consumers to benefit from the tremendous changes taking place in the communications and technology marketplace". This time, however, the agency's new leader, Republican Chairman Ajit Pai, is looking to scrap those open internet protections.

President Donald Trump has renominated former Federal Communications Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, a Democrat and net neutrality supporter, to take one of the two open spots at the agency in a move applauded by the broadband industry and consumer groups alike. But Trump withdrew the nomination. "We share Jessica's passion for promoting policies that close the digital divide and ensure that all Americans, especially students, have access to the many benefits that the internet offers". Clyburn's term expires June 30, but she could stay on the commission throughout 2018 even if the Senate doesn't immediately reconfirm her.

Pai would be forced to leave the commission if he is not reconfirmed by the end of the year. "We look forward to working together with the administration to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing our industry, including finding additional licensed and unlicensed spectrum".

When the election results came in and it became clear there would be a Republican president and a Republican majority Congress, Wheeler tried to broker that deal - his scalp for her renomination - but failed.
