Pacquiao eyes Mayweather after Battle of Brisbane

Pacquiao eyes Mayweather after Battle of Brisbane

Pacquiao, who was outpointed by Mayweather in the "Fight of the Century" two years ago, will be the strong favorite when he defends his world title against the unbeaten Horn in Brisbane.

"If Manny wins and struggles we might have to think about calling it a day". "So we expect in excess of 5-10 million people to watch the fight from the United States and it's a Saturday night in the United States".

"Possibly, yeah", the bespectacled trainer replied when asked if Pacquiao might again pull off a rope-a-dope against Horn, just like he did nearly eight years ago when he fought Miguel Cotto.

"Manny's in a must-win situation". "In all my years of boxing, I have never been as motivated and fired up as this fight", he told reporters at the airport. "I am looking for a big win here", Roach said. "I just focused on this fight, not anything on future fights or future plans".

"I don't know if we can compare Horn and Marquez", the trainer stressed.

Still, Roach thinks it's foolish to look beyond Horn, saying he is "a good puncher and can be aggressive" and his tendency to brawl should make the scheduled 12-rounder "an explosive one". Top Rank promoter Bob Arum saw him take down South African veteran Ali Funeka on the undercard of heavyweight Joseph Parker's WBO world title fight in New Zealand last December and decided Horn was worthy of a shot at the great Pacquiao. We don't want to underestimate Horn thinking about another fight. "I'm willing", Pacquiao said of a potential rematch with Mayweather, who has visited Roach's gym a couple of times - though not to discuss business. He's got age going for him, he's got the home crowd, and what I think is a physical size advantage.

Some Dems Want Pelosi Out as House Minority Leader
She has been a great leader, but like every leader, time immemorial, it's time for people to know when to go. Pelosi suggested that Republicans do not like the city's progressive values.

He added honestly: "If he struggles in this fight, it could be over".

While Pacquiao now juggles his boxing with being a senator in the Philippines, Jeff Horn is a schoolteacher.

"I'm doing numbers in my head all the time on how much punishment he might be taking - how he's going mentally, how he's coping".

"Depending on how he lost but I would probably encourage him to retire".

"But he has shown signs of the old Manny at training".
