NBA Finals: Three things to look for in Game 2

Steve Kerr will be back on the bench for the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday.

The Warriors lead the NBA Finals 1-0 over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Cavaliers: Tristan Thompson scored his first points of the series on a driving dunk midway through the first quarter.

James was equally spectacular with his own triple-double of 29 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds, but yet again didn't get almost enough help to keep up with Golden State's depth despite Kevin Love's 27 points and 19 from Kyrie Irving.

LeBron looked fed up just before coming out of the game as Durant beat him for another backdoor cut.

Said Warriors coach Steve Kerr, "I just felt like he was poised to come out and make some shots tonight". After missing the previous 11 playoff contests due to ongoing complications from his botched 2015 back surgery, Kerr will be on the sideline as the Golden State Warriors' head coach. The Warriors shot 41.9 percent from three-point range (18-for-43). The King notched his eighth career Finals triple-double with a 29-point, 11-rebound, 14-assist performance, tying Magic Johnson for the most career triple-doubles in NBA Finals history. But during the two off days, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue hammered home the importance of eliminating unforced errors and playing more physically at both ends.

The honesty is appreciated, but it seems insane to say the series loss was one of the worst things to ever happen to you, blame yourself for it, and then claim you would do it all over again if you were in the same position. "His movement off the ball is one of the main reasons why we're a good team".

Kevin Love started 4 for 4 for the Cavs, but was briefly shaken up and seemed to be favoring his left side. James and Love attacked the basket to build a quick 9-3 lead.

He was even seen huffing and puffing as he went to the bench at one point in the third quarter.

There was no question that the Cavaliers had the physical edge.

LeBron's back has to be aching from carrying the Cavs. They managed only 21 points, 16 rebounds and twice as many turnovers (four) as assists.

There are no changes to the starting lineups from Game 1 for either team, which is not a surprise. "It might be an adjustment for me, but it's for the betterment of the team and I am willing to do it", he told reporters. This team, their offense is constant movement, so you got to be locked in, you can't take a peek somewhere and lose your man, so they make you pay.
