Charges: YouTube stunt with gun leaves boyfriend dead

A 19-year-old from Norman County, Minnesota, has been charged with manslaughter after accidentally shooting her boyfriend while filming a YouTube video, BuzzFeed News reports.

Ruiz's aunt, Claudia Ruiz, said it was part of stunt the couple meant to share on YouTube.

On June 26th, Perez tweeted about the stunt, which she said was Ruiz's idea. Police said the firearm used matched the.50 caliber Desert Eagle located on the scene.

In a criminal complaint filed that same night and obtained by the Star Tribune, Perez told police that Ruiz wanted to make a YouTube video of her shooting a book (County Attorney James Brue described the book in question as a hardcover encyclopedia) to see whether the bullet would go through. Here is a video taken last week and uploaded to their YouTube channel on Monday, the day of the shooting. "I wish he would've just done another prank". They were in love, they loved in each other.

Pedro apparently handed the powerful handgun to his 20-year-old girlfriend and insisted she shoot it at a book while he held it out in front of him.

Perez, who is pregnant with the couple's second child, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter. "He was a insane driver with go-carts", she told the Star-Tribune. "Because, we want more viewers".
