Agent CB Justin Gilbert suspended for 1 year by NFL

After testing positive again, Gilbert was suspended for at least a year by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Gilbert, who is now a free agent, was selected out of Oklahoma State by the Browns with the No. 8 overall pick in 2014. Though there were rumblings about a possible reunion, those talks are certainly dead now, and it seems unlikely Gilbert ever plays another down in the National Football League again. Of Cleveland's 10 first-round selections between 2007 and 2014, only two players - left tackle Joe Thomas and cornerback Joe Haden - are still with the team.

In late May, Gilbert was suspended four games by the league for his first violation of the substance abuse policy. He was a problem in the locker room that season, then missed time in 2015 after suffering a concussion, and Cleveland traded Gilbert to Pittsburgh prior to last season.
