"Phantom Dust" is a classic video game title originally released for Microsoft's old classic home console Xbox way back in 2004. Good news for all gamers, the game will launch today for free on both Xbox One and Windows 10.

There was going to be a remake of the game, but its developers were shut down in 2015, leaving its fans to abandon hope. This resulted in the studio's closure. The series then laid dormant until a re-release was confirmed in 2016, with a vague promise of a release before E3 2017. It's not all bad though, as Microsoft took a note from Sony's similar PlayStation Plus offering and now gives out free games each month to members.

Phantom Dust is a Microsoft-developed game, directed by Panzer Dragoon's Yukio Futatsugi. Not only will the remaster be launching on PC, but it will be doing so this week and it'll be free.
