Garcia makes hole-in-one at Players' famed island-green 17th

Garcia makes hole-in-one at Players' famed island-green 17th

McIlroy had to birdie two of his last three holes to match Garcia's 73 at the Players Championship in Sawgrass on Thursday, the four-time major victor having double-bogeyed the 10th and 14th in his first tournament since getting married and signing a multi-million pound equipment deal with TaylorMade.

Garcia, playing in his first tournament since his first Major at Augusta on April 9, completed the "perfect fluke", holing his tee shot to become just the eighth player to do so in Players Championship history.

"It was a solid 52-degree (wedge) for me", Garcia told reporters after carding a one-over 73 that left him six strokes off the lead.

"I hit a good shot", he said. "It kind of made quite a poor round into - not a great round but a decent round".

First, he wins his first major title at the Masters, and then he makes an ace on arguably the most photographed hole in all of golf. I don't know, it can do anything.

Despite dropping four shots in his final two holes, Scott is still only three shots adrift of joint leaders Willie McGirt (USA) and Mackenzie Hughes (Canada).

West Brom boss Tony Pulis hoping to delay Chelsea title celebrations
For sure it won't be easy, because West Brom is a really good team, a physical team, and we must pay great attention. We need to take three points to win the title. "Hopefully on Friday we can have the title", he said .

Texas Cop Who Shot and Killed Jordan Edwards Fired
The incident is being investigated by the Dallas County Sherrif's Office and charges against Oliver may or may not be forthcoming. The family later said that while they are grateful that Oliver has been fired, "there remains a long road ahead".

Raptors get tough, beat Bucks to tie series at 2-2
Unless the Raptors demolish the Bucks for three straight games, I don't know how any Raptors fan isn't concerned with this team . The Bucks took a 20 point lead by the end of the first quarter, and essentially held that large margin for the rest of the game.

World No.3 Day, who won at TPC Sawgrass by four shots in 2016, carded three back-nine bogeys and Baddeley had a triple-bogey on his 16th hole.

"There have been so many things going on and maybe I would have loved to play something before this week to come here a little more relaxed". Willy Wilcox made a hole-in-one on the same hole in the second round previous year.

"It's probably one of the hardest 125- or 140-yard shots that we get all year, and with the greens being firm like they are, probably those front pins are the easy ones".

Garcia said that the hole-in-one was the 12th he'd ever hit, including five in tournaments and seven in practice.

"I could be leading the tournament".

Scott drowned his ball again on the 18th en route to two closing double bogeys.
