A cold front from the northwest will clash with Gulf moisture and Pacific Ocean moisture from the west.

The broken line of showers and storms appears like it will be coming in a few hours ahead of schedule, at least in comparison to what we told you yesterday. Meanwhile, a cold front will begin to edge into Texas tonight and tomorrow. Highway Patrol Sgt. Saturday will see an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 73. It will be mostly cloudy with a low of around 50 and southeast winds of 3-5 miles per hour. All of this action kicks off later Friday, with storms developing from southwest to northeast.
