There's also Microsoft's Desktop App Converter, which does provide access to some Win32 apps from the Windows Store if users are desperate.

Some users see the upgrade in a bad light. The feature is still under development and will be officially bundled with the upcoming Windows 10 Creators update, which is due to arrive in two months.

Not everyone was happy about the move, with Epic Games co-founder Tim Sweeney calling it "anti-competitive", with others saying it's "done exclusively to push the Windows 10 Store".

The Settings app has three positions: allow apps from anywhere (the default), allow apps from anywhere but prefer apps from the Store, and only allow apps from the Store. However, that default setting could change in the near future.

Hungary now allows 10 asylum seekers per day into the country, as thousands of potential seekers crowd the Serbian border.

The new Windows 10 Creators Update will have a feature that is created to prevent users from installing classic Win32 apps.

Even better is that having this feature turned on only blocks the installation of Win32 apps, and not the ability to run Win32 apps. Corporations can also benefit from the feature and lock down employees' PCs. This edition of Windows hasn't yet been officially announced, but leaked editions are already out in the wild. Said app should be made available via the Windows app store.

Microsoft staff spends a great deal of time creating the quests, focusing not only on specific features but also on certain days during a Bug Bash event and following the release of specific builds.
