Alistair Overeem scores brutal knockout win over Mark Hunt at UFC 209

The "Super Samoan" is now embroiled in a legal battle against the UFC, claiming they knowingly allowed WWE superstar Brock Lesnar to fight him back at UFC 200 despite having tested positive for banned substances in his system. Overeem and Hunt already met inside the UFC Octagon back in July 2008, with the former winning the match via submission.

The third round saw the vicious knockout, a big right hand set it all up for Overeem as he forced Hunt into the fence, and as you'll be able to see in the videos below, Overeem landed a couple of explosive knees to end the fight in the third.

Well, after the memorable fight, Dana White revealed that Overeem was hospitalized the day before, due to food poisoning. If Miocic is successful in his title defense against Junior dos Santos this May, we very well may see that rematch Overeem wants. "The reason I've done all this is it's been a pattern of things that have happen and it's just kind of gotten to the point where I lost to Brock, and I did lose and he beat me up and I just couldn't compete".

Senate confirms former Texas Gov. Rick Perry to serve as energy secretary
When running for president in 2012, Perry promised to shut down three federal departments, including Energy. Last month, senators approved the nomination Scott Pruitt to helm of the U.S.

Scottish nationalists treat politics like a game, says May
She added: "We need to be equally determined to ensure that the truth about our United Kingdom is heard loudly and clearly". However, what May's speech gives us a glimpse of the approach her government will take should a second vote occur.

Mesa County Health Department sees highest flu activity in 5 years
Oklahoma County has had five deaths, a number which didn't rise this week after quintupling the previous week. If you think you've escaped the flu this year, think again.

Both Reem and Hunt were landing hard and early. So why should they miss out?

"I feel like (PED users) don't deserve to be here, and I've said it many times, but until someone loses their life, that's when people are going to look differently at it". I haven't done nothing wrong here, so why should I be feeling like the outsider here? Keep coming to work and fighting steroid cheaters. All these other guys that cheat should be put on a pedestal like, 'That guy's a cheat. No doubt it was a shocking ending to the fight as Hunt has a reputation for being tough to finish. Hunt's lawyers have said the fighter would be open to a monetary settlement before seeking millions of dollars in damages in court.

"It really irritates me that I have to share the octagon with guys that have cheated to get here", said Hunt. "He has his lawsuit and his thing against (the UFC), and I can not blame him". "I'm a fan of Mark, he's shown tremendous skill".
