Indian PM pitches for digital economy to root out corruption


Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation on his "Mann Ki Baat" radio programme on Sunday, has hailed cricketers Ravichandran Ashwin and Karun Nair for the exemplary feats. We will not take decisions for short-term political point scoring, he said. "We will not shy away from taking hard decisions if those decisions are in the interests of the country", Modi said. "This is real empowerment", Modi said.

The Prime Minister told the citizens that the two schemes Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana are being launched today to promote cashless transactions.
