Duke Suspends Guard Grayson Allen Indefinitely for 3rd Kicking Incident

Duke Suspends Guard Grayson Allen Indefinitely for 3rd Kicking Incident

Obviously we will do more.

How many incidents of tripping an opposing player becomes too many?

In a February 8 matchup with Louisville, Allen stuck both his legs out and appeared to intentionally trip Cardinals forward Ray Spalding as he ran up floor, resulting in a flagrant foul.

It doesn't matter how remorseful Grayson Allen sounded during his carefully orchestrated media tour this fall or during his tearful postgame apology Wednesday night.

After the game, Krzyzewski didn't want to hear about how he handled Allen. We could both tell you, in no uncertain terms, from the moment you received a recruiting visit from Coach K, you knew the expectations associated with his program. After he was assessed a technical foul for the trip and was cconsequently benched, Allen threw a temper tantrum on the bench as if he was a toddler and his favorite toy was taken away.

"I really think the kid is genuinely sorry for what he did and he's disappointed in himself", Gaudio said. He may even deserve it; knowing what he went through a year ago, I can not imagine how or why he let this happened again, and there's nothing to say to defend it.

Benchmark 10-year USA yields have climbed nearly 80 basis points since early November to reach 2.57 per cent. Goldman Sachs (GS.N), which was up 2.2 percent, gave the biggest boost to the blue-chip index.

Allen apologized after the game. None other than Jason Dufner weighed in on Thursday with his take on Allen and the suspension via a series of tweets.

And then there were the comments that Luke Kennard made after the game last night that completely flew off the radar. And after Allen tripped yet another opponent, it's not clear when they'll have a complete lineup again.

But a Christmas miracle occurred in Durham some time last night when college basketball's moral compass had an epiphany.

Head basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski said Thursday in a statement that the coaching staff "had the opportunity to thoroughly review the incident" overnight and that Allen's actions were "unacceptable and inexcusable". During the first half, Allen intentionally stuck out his leg and brought Elon player Steven Santa Ana to floor, drawing a technical foul.

Duke has suspended Grayson Allen indefinitely. The non-answer seemed to indicate Allen wouldn't be suspended, but it turns out Coach K decided it was time to send a message to his star player. "I know him better than anybody, so to think that it's the last thing that's said about this to him is wrong".
